New Local Art Series Up Through 3/14/16

January 14, 2016

Our latest Whiskey and Art event (1/12) featured a new metal print series from local artist Jillian Chapman (The gallerist), in addition to two Van Winkle wheated bourbons distilled and bottled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.

For this series of ‘Whiskey & Art,’ Jillian created a metal print series, “Over Under,” which documents the charm and uniqueness of the Pilsen neighborhood on the Lower West Side of Chicago.

In 2011, the 25th ward partnered with the Chicago Urban Art Society to construct murals along the train tracks that run along 16th Street in an attempt to re-energize the community. “Over Under” highlights the need to preserve these murals for a community that has been cut off from the rest of Chicago.

All pieces will be available for sale at DryHop January 12 through March 14, 2016.
